You have to advance the main quest to "the molecular level" and return immediately to Danse after talking to Virgil.

WebThe only way I found to work around this was to progress the main story line to the point of the molecular level quest and ask Danse for help. If you play around with the dialog options he should say join the brotherhood and I'll help you. That should progress fire support and support. Boards. Fallout 4. It glitches upon changing receivers sometimes. 113 also comes up at times. Its tied to the gun itself, so reloads and such won't change it, just try a different rifle.
